Ugh.
I hate starting out slow. I want to make BIG changes FAST. Vegas is only 8 weeks away. I partially want to do something more demanding like Warp Speed Fat Loss or Afterburn and then do this Huge in a Hurry program after Vegas…

I started with a split routine last week, but didn’t feel like I was working out that great. I for some reason need more structure – a plan. I decided to buy the Get Huge In a Hurry book by Chad Waterbury. It is an interesting read. Of course I want to jump into the Get Lean routine right away, but he wants you to start with the 3 week Get Started phase first. I started with that today.
It feels so easy, but I am going to stick it out for the three weeks. After that, I can’t decide if I should move on to the next phase, Get Strong, or skip to the Get Lean phase first. Each phase is 16 weeks. I want to have a noticeable change by the time I go to Vegas in May.
I used my new equipment and I liked it! Now I just need a surround sound system to get the music flowing. It is kind of cool, I have my music streaming through my Xbox into the TV. I can also have a slideshow of bodybuilding pictures flowing through it!!
Well, my equipment should be arriving tonight (after a few shipping mishaps). I was going to wait until after it arrived, but I am anxious. I ordered a Lat Machine, Power Rack, Plate Tree, 500 lb olympic weight set, some lat bars, medicine balls, and other minor items.
I can’t wait to put it all together!!
I am still here, I have been at a standstill for some reason. It is not like I don’t have the motivation, I just keep coming up with excuses. I have been helping my wife get (and stay) motivated. She didn’t like working out in the living room, so I bought a TV for the basement. I also cleared some stuff out and am slowly turning it into a small gym. The good news is that it is making me want to get into it more.
My cousin also bought a weight set and will be getting into it. I used to be the strong one and now he is much stronger than me – that alone is making me want to hit the gym hard.
With those motivators, why haven’t I made it to the gym?
Ugh, this fasting is not for me. ALL food looks good to me now. At least what I am craving isn’t too bad for you – Steak and Eggs!! Of course I have lost weight, anybody would if they haven’t eaten for 4 days. I feel like I am slowing my metabolism down though. I don’t know if I can finish the day without eating…
Well, it is day 3 of this fasting cleanse. I have lost a few pounds and am under 180 now. I haven’t worked out this week, but I will be returning to the gym harder than ever next week.
Hello all, I have been hovering around 183 for a while. For two weeks in a row, I have worked out Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and skipped the rest. This week, I missed Monday due to… no excuses… Today I started a Fasting Cleanse (5 day). I tried this once before and only made it a day. I am already hungry, but how hard can 5 days be? I am not supposed to workout while doing it, but I may go to the gym after work anyway…
Well, this past weekend was my birthday and it wasn’t very healthy. Over the weekend, I had 3 pieces of cake, 1 piece of cheesecake, 6 pieces of pizza, 6 ribs, some fries, a couple shots of whiskey, a bloody mary, and a bunch of beer.
I gained 2 pounds, but felt like I gained 10 or more. I also haven’t worked out since Wednesday.
I just need to lose 5 pounds this week to stay on target. I will be kicking ass in the gym this afternoon…
I was doing Bench Presses yesterday and looked back in my journal. I have lost at least 50 lbs of strength on my bench. It is depressing looking at my 2008 pictures and what I was doing in the gym at the time. I just hate losing so much so fast.
I just keep telling myself how fast time flies and if I just stick with it, I will be there again in no time. I have set some aggressive weight loss goals (will think of some strength ones later). My goals are simple, get out of the 180′s by the end of January, get out of the 170′s by the end of February, and get out of the 160′s by the end of March. The goal is to hit 155 by Tax day (April 15th).
